Peck, Pat...you two crack me up. Not too many laughs today...
You know us, Dave. Perpetually highbrow.
Another one to add to the must try list. I didn't think I would like any Lakeland styles but ordered some Condor thinking I could always pass it on but I'll be keeping it and have more on order. How would this compare?
I've only smoked Condor once, and the 1792 I smoked was five years in the jar... So my comparison isn't exactly scientific. The only thing in double blind here is my hindsight. That being said, I remember Condor as delivering more of the soapy Lakeland character, while the 1792 was deeper, rounder, more homogenous and fuller in flavour. That being said, I defer to folks like Dan, Troy and Simon who smoke these tobaccos more often than I do.
May have

to pop a tin. Thanks for bringing 1792 up.

My pleasure!

That's kind of what I thought when I compared Condor to the St Bruno I tried today. I'll have to put some 1792 on my next order.

Pat, perhaps in an homage to a renowned routine of the late George Carlin, you should start a thread outlining the Seven Essential Words for a Proper Tobacco Review.

I mean, all the requisite pompus stuff, like Balance, Aroma, Complexity and Nuance etc.

Sounds like high school.
LOL

I had a great time in HS, I would have got laid more often if I wasn't such a "nice guy" though, one of my major regrets, being a gentleman when you're 16 just isn't logical!
I should have transferred to Vince Lombardi HS anyways...

My guess is that your body didn't like the Tonquin bean extract... Or you need to pick nicer hotels on the road.
LOL

I've stayed in some scary places!

If you want to smoke the high-nicotine blends, of course, it's a process of acclimatizing your body to them. I smoke a fair number and can go months without what I would call a nicotine event, and then out of nowhere I'm, dizzied, weakened, sweating. Whatever it's worth, and whatever it's worth to do so, the more you smoke, the more you can to do so without incident. The first time I smoked 1792 I thought it was a very odd beast of a tobacco, and the weight of the nicotine wasn't worth carrying. But it was so unusual that I kept buying tins. Now I smoke them when I want them, reserving the heavy artillery for late at night, probably because the stimulation fends off sleep when I chose to go late.

I'm glad I have some 1792 squirreled away, should be great fun in a few years.
It's kind of scary that I started this hobby, having never touched tobacco in my life, with Five Brothers and Peterson Irish Flake, and I couldn't figure out what Nicotine "felt like" until I finally tried two bowls of Irish Flake in a row.

I've heard that Irish lineage gives you endurance with alcohol, is there something similar for Nicotine?

Crap, forget everything I said about Nicotine tolerance. Those were small bowls of Irish Flake and my notes on 1792 aren't pleasant.

Now I'm really curious.
