5 Bros + Aromatic?

I'm looking to take an aromatic and bump the Vitamin N levels a bit. Anyone ever try adding a little high test like 5 brothers to an everyday tobacco like 1Q?

Yeah I have done it and it does work. For some reason I just don't care for 5 brothers so I rarely smoke it even as a mix.

hehe, do it all the time. I can recommend it. 5 bros doesn't have a strong taste and so it doesn't negatively impact the aro's flavor.
I also can recommend 2 aromatics that taste quite good and offer a decent nic hit, Danish Black by Newminster and HG-2000 by Lane Ltd.

5 brothers is good stuff. Breath on it like you're cleaning your glasses before smoking to re-hydrate it a little. Used to do that with old dry cigarettes...similar concept. Otherwise, it's a little too dry and harsh. Pack it very tight.

It's true - but a little mixed in doesn't cause any harm (at least to my ruined taste buds)

Just to be clear..... Looking to add a touch of 5 bros to my aros to give it a little kick in the @$$ from time to time. Not something I'll be smoking on its own. lol 8O

I agree on it's own it doesnt have much flavor. I have had decent luck mixing it with aros. I another guy who smokes 5 bros and PA mixed as the first smoke of the day.

If you want a real treat, mix 1Q with a healthy amount of 5 bros. (at least 1/3 of the total) and a goodly pinch of latakia and/or perique. Makes for a good little smoke.

i just bought a pouch of Five Brothers. It was the driest tobacco I have ever received. By the sounds of it this is normal, right? i haven't tried it yet but bought it to mix also.

Yep - it is dry stuff, which IMHO is a good thing if mixing with an aromatic.

I often mix up 50/50 jars of Mac Baren Burley London Blend with a few aromatics I like. I've found it makes for a better smoke.

Don't let the kidders get you down, Five Brothers ain't that bad, as long as you don't smoke it straight.
Try mixing it with anything you currently already have.
You will know if you like the mix or not.
