4th Gen Afternoon Melange Tastes Sour

Hi, I'm new to pipes.
Just brought 4th Gen Afternoon Melange from a tobacco shop. Looks like it's been sitting jar for sometime.
I came home and try it out. It's smell "fermented" sour like vinigar, have a tangy taste when smoke, mouth feels pritty strong almost cream like. It kinda grown on me, sweet/sour/woody taste linger in my mouth after smoking.
Is it good to keep smoking it? or it is foul?

If it was a Virginia, I'd say it was fine.

A "fermented" smell/taste is not a bad thing. If you enjoy it, my suggestion is to keep on keeping on.

I find this is very desirable when encountered in fermented Virginia blends. Orientals also often have a sour, funkiness. If you like it and it doesn't make you feel ill, I'd recommend full speed ahead.

Currently on my 3rd bowl, this stuff feels like im smoking some sort of aroma. Sour one that is. Very fresh.
