40% Off

I don't recall ever seeing so many 40% off sales.
Am I reaching the age of forgetfulness, or perhaps this has something to do with the corporate consolidations?
Seriously, if I had "remembered" there would be this many sales I might have altered my purchasing timeline...

I think a lot of it is due to regular Holiday Sales and then the Sutliff
acquisition sent it into overdrive. It’s sad to see some of the sales as you know what’s behind the big push and that once it’s gone it’s actually gone for good.

I hear you, but I really think if I'd seen this many sales over the holiday season in the past that I would have remembered.
It's likely the only time that I'll have any "sadness" about already having an ample supply.
Saving 40% isn't even tempting me...

Tobaccopipes.com had several 40% off deals for Christmas on pipes and tobacco. Even had a 50% off sale on Altinay pipes. I was listing them here until I got some nasty comments for the 40% off Dunhill sale and refrained from posting any more.

When it’s cheaper to dump stock than relocate and consolidate it you get steep discounts.
At 40% off they’re still making bank so enjoy it while you can.

As far as I know, these are happening only at Cup O' Joe's and Tobacco Pipes... which are both shutting down with the STG acquisition (or "merging" into P&C). I think it's significant that the blends that have been going on sale are mostly Kopp and other non-STG brands. It makes me wonder if they're liquidating to narrow down their selection to mostly stuff their parent company makes.

That's what i figured. They must be closing down warehouses. Cheaper to blow out the inventory than to move it.
