I saw the top few posts and thought: OF COURSE! IT'S INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY. But then I realized it was from 9 months ago. It was ahead of its time.

Bald Headed teacher was the blend that clicked for me when I started smoking a pipe. It was the blend that told me that this would be a flavorful adventure.

I got 4oz of Bald Headed Teacher in the mail yesterday and love it, I also got 4oz of Harvest Moon (didn't like much) - Three Blind Moose (love it, beautiful sweet aroma) - Prairie Wind (not bad but only had one bowl) - Double Fantasy (very nice but again have only had one bowl)
Rich is a nice bloke and keeps me coming back for more.
Of the Drug Store Blends so far my favourite all day smoke is Carter Hall, I regularly buy the 14oz can and also use it as a mix for other tobaccos I don't like that much, I will mix a 2:1 ratio of Carter Hall with the blends I don't like and get an enjoyable smoke as a result, often I will mix in a bit of Capt. Black - White with it and use the mix in a pouch for a tobacco I alternate with Carter Hall during the day.
I just ordered more for the cellar but in a couple of months will try ordering his mixing tobaccos to try mixing my own blends.

In the order I just put in I ordered 8oz of Trout Stream which the reviews have intrigued and impressed me but I wish I also ordered the bread loaf.

I've been smoking Jesse's Own and Prairie Wind over the last month ... both good.
Sounds like Bald Headed Teacher and Bread Loaf are in need of trying as well ... thanks!

My list of don't run out of's in the 4noggins range is;
Trout Stream (yummy)

Three Blind Moose

Bald Headed Teacher

Butternut Burley

Double Fantasy
I have a few others (about 8+ in total) but those five are my "must have's". I like to keep a minimum of 6-8 pounds packed in Mason jars in my cellar at all times.
Richard your an extremely talented blender, you'll remain my to go to man till the day I draw my last puff. A scholar and a gentleman who has gone the extra mile for me a few times.
All I can say is THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH

I tried the CD Bayou Morning but the peppery taste is not for me, don't like pepper so I guess I should have known better.
My favorite Drug Store Blends so far are Carter Hall and Prince Albert.
Going to get a couple of ropes to store for the occasional stronger smoke or to mix with fav's to beef them up a bit.

Never, EVER, run out of 'Bald Headed Teacher'!
Oh hell, forget what I said as BHT really sucks big time and you don't ever wish to waste your money on it.

Why do folks keep bumping these posts from the days of yore, eight or twelve months ago, or three years?

Surely we can come up with some new material, no?

** Yep... it's called doing a 'search' before you ask repetitive questions. When you do so you can at times be directed to old threads.

I got a blend from 4noggins with my last order El Rincon de la Pipa #1 which I found really nice. I copied the following from tobaccoreviews.com

I think it's worth keeping in my regular rotation.
A blend manufactured by 4noggins specifically for El Rincon de la Pipa, a pipe smokers forum in Spain, following the recipe by Javier Trillo and Carlos Rincon. A beautiful mix of Virginias, Burley, Izmir, Latakia and a touch of Black Cavendish
Notes: A very balanced mixture, full of body, with the white burley as main flavour support, spicy orientals giving a piquant character and virginias bonding all of them, resulting a sweet medium atypical mixture.

I'm a huge fan of 4Noggins and Rich's superb customer service. It must be increasingly hard competing with the growing dominance of SP.com, but Rich and the team do a wonderful job. Bald Headed Teacher is on my hit list and will be my first 4Noggins in-house blend; I'm looking forward to it!
