I've followed your thread with interest, and you've done well so far. I would like to see how your tastes change over time, and how you reevaluate these blend in time. I find it difficult, for me, to determine a blend's nuance in less than a full tin. Maybe because I'm still learning myself.Since you guys have sampled some of these tobaccos, what are your opinions on them?
Your opinion on Prairie Wind is good, but you failed to mention anything about it containing Perique, which, for me, is the star of the blend. I've been smoking it for awhile and the spicy, fruity flavor has won my heart. While not very strongly flavored, it hits a satisfying note for certain moods. I'm cellaring it by the pound and hope to try it as the flavors mature.
I've recently bought 4noggins Weybridge, a Bur/Va/Per blend. I don't think it's in the sample packs, but I'd recommend you give that one a try, if you're curious about Perique. It's more flavorful than Prairie Wind, and might suit your taste better. I've been pondering doing a review on it too.
Keep up the good work, and enjoy yourself.
