4 Digit Savinelli

I think I did a little better this time around. Logged into eBay and this had less than 2 mins left on the auction timer. Saw it was at $46 so I said what the hell. Someone bid $47 with about 10 seconds left. I was able to snipe it for $48 with 3 seconds left. I probably made someone pretty sad/mad . Hopefully it wasn’t anyone here. It has a few tiny flaws visible in the pics but to me it looks like it was barely ever used.

Correct me if I’m wrong guys but Savinelli stopped using 4 digit codes in the 70’s right? Anyway I’ve got 5 pipes now and a nice little pipe rack to hold them all. It’s a 12 pipe Rack so I've still got some holes to fill.

Four digits go all the way back to the 1950s. I've got a pair of late '50s Cadet 9005s.

Very nice! I had my eye on a few punto oro. But too many bidders pushed the price too high. Maybe I’ll get lucky with one soon. Thanks for showing me yours. It’s gorgeous.

Thanks man. I’m glad you decided against it. I’m always worried now about bidding against someone here lol. I did see the nick but this is only my 3rd briar pipe and I’m still just a super noob at all this. Little imperfections don’t really bother me much. One day I’ll spend good money on a perfect pipe but I’m still just having fun looking at and learning about all the different pipes and pipe makers out there. Hopefully it’s not a factory dud that somebody unloaded. I’d be pretty upset about that. I’ll be getting a small batch of new tobaccos at around the same time this pipe will be delivered and I’m really hoping for some amazing smoke sessions.
