Finally have an evening free to relax. Tonight I'm enjoying some DT Ascanian No 2 in a skull eating devil meer by Yanik with some Leyrat Fins Bois Single Estate VSOP Reserve Cognac:

I really like my wife's decoration job this year:

Here's a story that is downright disturbing. A doomed sinner or just an alcoholic who lost his sanity? You'll just have to listen and decide for yourself.

TGIF!!!!!!

Tonight it's McConnell Black Flake in a skull and tentacles meer by Ismail Celebi (a gift from my wife at the lest ever WCPS) and some Gran Duque DAlba brandy de Jerez:

Starting tonight with a gleefully twisted and bizarrely fun story, "The Night of 1000 Ghouls" which isn't really a story in the traditional sense. It's 3 stories, all by Frederick Cowles, and linked together with original material by the narrator Jasper L'Estrange. It's the linking together that makes it so enjoyable for me.

On a side note I ordered my Halloween costume for this year:

Since my link skills are weak on a phone and tablet (no mouse to copy and paste), I figure I can add to the party with a short story.

I'm a fan of short horror stories, like novellas and other short tales. Same with movies within movies, so to speak. As the horror punk band the Misfits used to say, keep it short and they will want more. Some people have even crafted great scary tales in just two sentences.

The shortest and scariest story I know is just four words:

Crib for sale. Unused.

I brought my tablet home from work but decided to heck with it and not do any work.

Enjoying some Capstan Gold Flake in a dragon with a sword meer by Yanik and some Delord XO Armagnac:

It's not often I get that "wow" factor feeling from a story but this is one of those rare instances. Maybe not a wow for others but I'm left with a "wow, what a good story" feeling from it:

Not big on Halloween. I would participate more if they were giving out airplane bottles, but alas! Minors. With kids off to college, and living in 55+ subdivision, no kids dropped by last year. Hoping for the same unfortunate experience this year. Might sit out on the front porch just to scare neighbors taking night hike., but that might trigger cardiac arrest around this neighborhood.
I don't get the amount of kids I expect. Which sucks because I do full size bars. Guess that's the reason I buy what I like to eat.

Taking advantage of the 86 degrees tonight and enjoying some KBV Fallen Cherry in an estate naked woman and dragon meer by Baglan I recently got cleaned up enough to smoke. (Lot's of back and from with bristled pipe cleaners to get decent draw.) Having some Kelt VSOP Cognac with it:

Starting tonight's scary stories with a fun one from BBC radio. It has a great old timey feel and the narrator is fantastic:

These two modern radio series are among my favorites. HAYWARD SANITARIUM is an excellent creepy story and CHET CHETTERS TALES FROM THE MORGUE is not what you think. You can listen for free while smoking your pipe. Enjoy. puffy

I really like Halloween as well as Thanksgiving and Xmas. I really liked putting up all kinds of decorations but sadly I have reached an age where it is too hard to do it.

I'm not big into decorating, but enjoy when others do it. For.example, A family tradition is.to.drive around various neighborhoods and look at Christmas light displays. It's just too much clutter and hassle, but know my daughter likes it.

I recently started a small decorating tradition that I can handle: I've been slowly purchasing holiday Steinbach nutcrackers to use as table centerpieces for the holidays. For example, I have a cook holding a roast turkey for Thanksgiving and several Christmas nutcrackers.

Between the nutcrackers and my small Charlie Brown Christmas tree, I have myself a.merry little.Christmas without too much clutter or cleanup on my end. Hopefully, you can find some sort of similar enjoyment.

It appears cold weather has arrived just in time for Halloween! I put on a sweater and fired up a heater to enjoy my pipe and some stories in the frigid 65 degrees tonight.

Tonight I'm having some KBV Fallen Cherry for the first smoke in my new pipe "Squawk" by Murph (my second pipe of his) I got from him at the recent show here in Vegas. Having some lovely Delord XO Armagnac with it;
