Morning all, just thinking of having another Zoom catch up for willing participants (yes I enjoyed the last one). Looking for feed back on a suitable time for members, is it Saturday or Sunday, AM or PM for you Northern Hemisphere members, I'm thinking 4pm Saturday PNW time (9am Sunday, Australian) in a couple of weeks. Bear in mind that I am technologically challenged and setting this up is a brave new world for a retired grey whiskered farmer with fingers fatter than butchers sausages, so expect problems.

Generally speaking, I would be very interested, but Saturdays are tough for me because I enjoy watching the UFC fight broadcasts live whenever possible (avoiding reading spoiler news headlines for a day or two is a drag, but doable if necessary). I’ll pop in if I can, but the weekend of the 12th is a PPV event and we may have company.

Well, I don't have a computer.
Yep, everything I type here is on my $50 cellphone. We got rid of the computer 8 years ago because we didn't use it much. When we moved to the cabin we live in now, there was no available internet or cell phone. We paid to have a phone line run to our house....that was a very expensive project. We still do not get cell reception, we have a landline.
But hey, no neighbors and no road noise living in the woods. :)
All this to say, I'd be in if my phone and slow internet will connect. It should, I do doctor appointments and video calls with my family with no issues. :)

I'm in! Usually free every Saturday but mornings would work best as that's usually family night or fellowship with guys from church. Regardless, I'll work free time in for whatever happens :)

I see the 12th getting tossed as a bad choice with already stated plans from others. It could also possibly exclude anyone with Passover Seder that evening. The following weekend is Easter so most likely a bad choice for maximum participation...

4/26 would be 100% clear for me, sun up to sun down. Not sure about everyone else here.

Sundays are my best bet. Translation: the best way to hold a Zoom chat and ensure I'm not there (which I'm assuming everyone's ideal scenario is) is to do it any day other than a Sunday. ;)

p.s. I'm turning 40 in two weeks, so if I sound like I'm being extra codger-y...well, it's not me at all, it's just you, turning 40 won't change a thing. 😁

Nope, classic B3/C3. A chop, actually...that was my touring rig for several years.

(In case anyone is reading this and thinking I've gone completely mad, you are correct, but that's beside the point! QS is referring to the background image when you hover over my screen name.)
I have moved way to many B3 and Leslie combos around over the years. lol

B3 for funk is certainly great, but I was way more into using mine as a pad, and getting that overdriven compression, the kind that one can only achieve in the studio. Every keyboardist has tried to capture it live, but it's just not possible--even a tube leslie on full overdrive just can't match the augmentation that a rack of vintage studio equipment and a skilled audio engineer can produce. Exhibit A:

p.s. Had the privilege of meeting Tony Kaye back in 2009. The resulting nerdy keyboard nerd-out chat is something I won't soon forget! :ROFLMAO:
