I have had package stuck in customs for a week or even longer. Most packages from US seem to come thru in a fairly timely fashion, off the top of myhead maybe 2 weeks to my door. But I have gotten orders in less than a week and as long as 2 months. When you order your pipe tobacco how long does it sit in customs for ? My tobacco has been sitting in customs for about 8 days now just says clearing customs.

Here in BC between the federal and provincial taxes and duties, it seems to work out just under a dollar a gram for customs.
Holy Cow! Do you still come out ahead though when compared to buying local?Well my order came in, my first time ordering and they messed up hard on the PST View attachment 230633
In a word yes. Still cheaper and of course way better selection. I live in good sized city +600,000 (Surrey) and we have zero tobacconists here.Holy Cow! Do you still come out ahead though when compared to buying local?
Yeah. I’m in the same boat.In a word yes. Still cheaper and of course way better selection. I live in good sized city +600,000 (Surrey) and we have zero tobacconists here.
You know, it's too bad. During "Covid" I had almost everything come through unscathed. I was ordering tins from smoking pipes 4 at a time and they pushed everything through. Pipes up to $400? They pushed it through with no duty. Right now though, the cbsa are checking and taxing everything. One member was saying that they taxed his $36 pipe kit. $6 + the $10 handling fee. It is damn near unheard of to see them tax an item under $50 for Canada post incoming mail.Yeah I'm in BC.. they hit us hard
