Man I’m glad I read this again, I had 4oz in my cart and just upped it to 1lb. I hope this isn’t sacrilege but I did mix 2oz cowboy coffee with 2oz picayune pancake. Cowboy Flapjacks somebody else called it. It’s only been a few days of being lightly pressed together, but I have high hopes! Cowboy coffee is the perfect all day smoke, I’m excited to get some aging.

you’ve definitely piqued my interest! i’m going to give it another go.

The country squire has been hit or miss for me.

I LOVE shepherd’s pie. I’m lukewarm on tombigby, which everyone seems to go wild for. I like george’s dragon and choctaw/cherokee/indian outlaw, but so so pilgrims muse, cowboy coffee and delta honeydew.

I have a few more samples to try.

I always receive great customer service though.
I’m a huge Country Squire fan, but I’m with you on the Tombigbee. It’s good, but nothing exceptional. Shepherd’s Pie is my goto workhorse, I’ve surprised myself in how much I’ve smoked of it. That being said, Cowboy Coffee is another blend I can enjoy all day long. They are just plain good IMO.

This is one of the first blends from Squire I really took to smoking every day. Something about it never ceases to please. It's well balanced, easy on the palate and consistent, like many of their blends. Or so I thought until reading your post, although I haven't smoked any aged samples. It's interesting to read about the changes you noticed. I'll have to bulk up and age some more. You mentioned you stuffed the jars? Maybe the pressure homogenized the blend slightly. Thanks for sharing!

Any updates on this experiment? 👀

It's kinda funny for me with cowboy coffee.
The first time I had it out of some samples I bought from them I expected it to be a heavy dark fired blend, and it has enough toppings I was convinced I was smoking an aromatic.
So much so that I called them and told them it must have been a mix-up.
They sent me a new sample and it was exactly the same. I was disappointed enough I don't think I even gave it a chance and smoke more than one bowl.
For some reason the flavorings or whatever they use bite me especially when fresh.
I do love Baker Street, I think because it's a pretty stout blend and after aging or pressing it doesn't bite much.
It still has some added flavoring, though. When talking to them on the phone another day they did admit one of the comments in their non aros is flavored.
I can see how someone who likes crossover blends could be a big fan, though. And it's probably why it changes soo much with a bit of age I suppose.
Sorry for the long post, and I'd like some opinions if I should make long posts into 2 messages or not.

I've found that this blend definitely rides the line of aro but it depends on what it's smoked out of. When I use smaller chamber pipes the sugars are way more apparent for me with most smokes, and Cowboy Coffee isn't an exception. The burley and DKF notes are way more robust in a wider chamber. Love this blend

I have been trying to get some of this tobacco since I started reading this thread.
It definitely got me curious but It's been out of stock for a while.
Is it one of those hard to get blends or just the holiday madness??

I agree tho I still enjoy the blend. I was hoping to see the DFK play a bigger role but over all I do not regret the 8oz I bought and its on my list of tobacco to buy more of.

Its probably Christmas related. After new year, should be good to go. If you still have trouble, shoot me a message then, and I will send you some.
