Those pipes are nice but unfortunately I am looking for a Pohlmann at a price I can afford.
No, I went with one of these. Was that a Tyrone? I'm planning to get one next sale. Let us know if you have any feedback.
That's why you make friends with carvers and get what you desire at any time. Most of these pipes are not bought for common consumption . if one chooses to collect pipes purely on their collectibility, and or some pipe lineage , this and the last couple of Taurus auctions are orgasmic for the hard to find pipes (expensive) .
There was a thread 3 years ago about aspirational pipes for buying … many hard to find if ever , when they come up , you got to pounce … some of the pipe makers you only see once a few years if ever
I have a pre-bid in on one of the Tokutomi pipes. If I win I fully intend to smoke it. The problem is it will probably go for double my max bid. Most of these pipes are not bought for common consumption . if one chooses to collect pipes purely on their collectibility, and or some pipe lineage , this and the last couple of Taurus auctions are orgasmic for the hard to find pipes (expensive) .

I was wondering where the auction monies go? Is this for a benefit?Yes, you absolutely can! In some cases, above the original retail price! With not one single penny going back to the original artisans! Some of whom are still working and may want your commission!
Sorry. 20 years of making furniture and then yelling at antiques roadshow... Kinda swept over me there.
I wish we could get a backstory on whose collection this is. It’s an amazing selection. Does anyone know?
