With each progressive year since its release, I have been impressed with the durability and performance of Missouri Meerschaum's original dive into the reverse calabash genre. Mine is regularly smoked throughout the year, and is still going strong. I have yet to put fire to the 2018 iteration, but am certain it will be as impressive as its older brother.

You get so much pipe at such a modest price, and they're still there years later doing a terrific job.

Damn I wish I had a little extra cash. I really want to try one of those because I'm told they smoke great and I think they look pretty damn cool.

The 2018 version is pretty cool too, though I have yet to smoke it. It's design is a bit more rustic than the original.

C. Embers. I smoke the 2018 and I like it a lot, but man that new stem collects a lot of moisture.
I smoke indoors, dry tobacco, but it's such a long smoke, it ends up looking like a greenhouse in there.
I don't have one, but I like the stem on the old one better...the 2018 design seems like it's "made" to collect moisture.

In all seriousness, I didn't realize these were a limited run kind of thing. That drops the appeal for me since I hate having to hunt for things like this and I already have plenty of cobs. They're still pretty cool though

My 2015 version had the glue fail after 6 months, I purchased some glue I like to use and it’s been top notch since, I also upgraded the stem to a slightly longer Danish Stem. The 2018 version is going like gangbusters and I’ve literally have smoked this far more than the first version and the glue is a non issue. The chamber walls are so thick this pipe will undoubtedly outlive several pipe smokers, well worth the investment be it a cob in general or one of these Reverse Calabash pipes, cheers.

That's good to know for when I do get around to smoking mine. Thanks for the heads up!
