I had my pass earlier in the year and won't seek to get back in line until maybe late springtime. But I've made this new thread a favorite since I love the Pass and want to stay updated.
FWIW, I think publishing a contents list is a mistake for two reasons, one practical, the other philosophical:
As a practical matter, the list is guaranteed to be obsolete nearly as soon as it is published.
But, more important, speaking to the ethos of the Pass, that moment when you open the Box, pour out the contents, start sorting through and begin to realize what's in there -- that, my brothers, is a moment not to be missed. A published contents list would dilute or eliminate that joy.

Dan how is the box doing for Condor? I know there is a plug floating around and a packet of Condor RR but do you need anymore since I will be seeing you in the next week or so I can drop some off with the other stuff we spoke about. Give me a call or let me know.

@lucky695 Very hard to get ones hands on. I had better order some more as I am running low myself. It's pretty good stuff but make sure you slice it finely and rub out well otherwise it will become fire proof like the damned Condor Flake and you will use a box of matches to keep one bowl full burning. Let me know what you think as myself and Mr. Lowercase can't be the only Condor plug junkies inhabiting this forum space!

The density of Condor's flavor warped the very fabric of space-time, funneling it down to a singularity while sucking in all matter so voraciously that not even light can escape it. Condor... the only tobacco strong enough to ghost your black hole.

Lucky, the idea here is to SAMPLE and leave some for others!

Of course, now that I said that, I probably told you to take the whole thing....

I know, having read the bajillion posts leading up to my name making the list that there has been a plethora of drama regarding the boxpass.
I apologize for not being clearer in my earlier post. I will lucky to be able to get a bowl from each bag in there for myself. I just don’t smoke that much. That is why I am so looking forward to the box and why the box is good for people like me. (People who, for whatever reason, haven't tried lots and lots of different blends). That is also what I meant by “tread lightly on the box”. One bowl or maybe 2 will barely dent the bags I saw in those pics.
I think this sort of brings up an important question: What IS everyone’s perceived purpose for the box?
I feel the box is an opportunity to SAMPLE blends they may never get a chance to try otherwise. This is particularly important to WA residents since it is SO hard to GET many tobaccos here. I would NEVER take a whole bag of anything, even if I had time to do so. For example, I would rather see 50 ½ oz bags in there than people take 10-15 1 oz bags and replace them with 10-15 others for a constant total of 25 or so blends at a time.

Now as things dry out or it is down to the last nubbins that is a different manner. All I am saying is my perception of the box is to get as many people to get a bowl of each blend as we can.
As for where the box goes:
I personally have taken The Box to the Lehigh Valley Pipe Club (a collection of the most erudite and benevolent pipers as there ever is to be found) and left with contributions from several members, including Russ Oullette, that far outweighed their deductions.
I completely agree that the rules needed to be reiterated, prompted by my post. That was one of the reasons I posted it. I am not a ‘better to beg for forgiveness’ person. I am actually glad you clarified and didn’t send me a cranky PM.
I was clear on where it’s going. It is only going places with me where it will grow. The Tinderbox is very supportive of Pipe endeavors.
And I think that since Kevin Godbee is the keynote speaker at the Seattle Pipeclub this month, the box will likely be safe at the meeting… =)

@woodsroad... Dan... The Condor in question was in an individually sealed brick about the size of a BITE SIZE alomond joy... no wait... mounds (no nuts). And that's possibly true about telling me to take it... maybe not specifically but take stuff so I could get the box closed.

Ok, Fine. I'll be sending another 25g plug out to whomever has the box next week. Try to sip it, it's difficult to come by!

Relax Lucky695 I have placed an order for more plugs so keep that one as Dan says but you must smoke all of it at one sitting and then report back to the forum about the hallucinations you suffer! That chocolate bite sized plug is the equivalent of enriched uranium so go slowly with it!

Dan, Simon just returned yesterday with your bounty. I'll pick it up from him on Monday. One small problem, it isn't St. Bruno tobacco. It's a St. Bernard dog. Little mix up in comms there. Nice pup, though.
