Right now, I'm pretty content with the pipes I currently have on my rack. But....

I'm still looking for GBD 9242 or 9438, pre-Cadogan era, I love that shape.

I have some consulting income coming later this year, I may use that to commission a 9242 or bullmoose shape. Or, I might just save that and buy a bunch of estates at the Richmond show.

I keep saying I'm going to buy a Brian Ruthenberg

Or, find a '61 Dunhill bulldog I can afford.

Decisions, decisions....

Hopefully at the Chicago in May, I'll meet a young carver from North America who cuts his own stems and drills his own blocks. He's new on the pipe scene so he's pricing his pipes at less than $200. I will be first in line to buy one of his pipes.

Ditto on the Ardor.

I may be alone, but I actually want a smaller bent one that hangs comfortably from the mouth.

I may actually agree with Havanarick... Perhaps I'll make Maurizio an offer on one of his instead of another Italian carver...
Food for thought.

I'm looking at Radice, Kevin Arthur, Randy Wiley and Claudio Cavicchi. I'll get one or two this year.

So many choices.

Every pre merger GBD that I can find for a good price and in good shape. I would also like to purchase a nice bent Rhodesian Ashton, Ferndown, and Dunhill. Not necessarily in that order.

Well, I've been continually shut out on getting a GBD 9242 or 9438. I missed this one this morning, by $1.... I wasn't familiar with this seller, and being overseas, I was too cautious. It also isn't sold with "made in England" stamping, which I would like and did not have a metal roundel, also desired (pre-merger). The search continues...

I actually just had a pipe custom made for me by a local maker, it is spectacular and I will be posting pics and info about him soom. I have my eye on a Lothar, he is a german carver, it is a freehand, but not too crazy. That is the only PAD on my radar so far.

Al- I have seven pre merger GBD 9438s most of them are Prehistorics, I have a Seventy Six, and one smooth grain New Era. I love that shape, best pipe shape ever, from my favorite maker.
