That stuff is some of the best Virginias that have ever been in tinned imho. I can imagine the tarty vinegar scent that initially predominates as you pop the tin. Then the dark fruit and spice that glazes over you as you slowly sip the smoke. Truly delicious stuff indeed. Enjoy it. 👍☕

Never had any McClelland as I started smoking after they closed up shop but I’m always shocked to read the adulation that some of y’all heap on their tobaccos. I just thank god for C&D cause without them I genuinely don’t know what I’d smoke. puffy

OP I hope you enjoy the tin and it’s as great as you remember :)

Funny thing is before the demise McClelland plentiful and hardly ever out of stock.

Plenty of great stuff out there readily available. Better to not hunt for dead tobaccos or unobtainable blends…you’d either be upset that they are gone or sourly disappointed in their fan fare. However, in this instance Blackwoods and a dozen or so blends under the now defunct McClelland banner were truly exceptional. 👍☕

I would never pay more than retail for any tobacco and only smoke readily available blends. I honestly have no interest whatsoever in even trying any discontinued blends as there are so many incredible blends available right now.

So I just had a bowl, it was great… tasted wonderful, smoked cool with no moisture, very relaxing… I will enjoy what I have but agree with you others, not worth it to pay what people want for these discontinued blends… great tobaccos yes, but still plenty of great stuff out there that are available. Unless you have a nostalgic or otherwise important reason to chase it, it wouldn’t be logical. Enjoy your evening smokes!

I smoked a tin of BF a long long time ago before I really knew what I was doing. It’s great to have something special on the shelf and then to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing the pics.
