I do 80% of my tobacco purchases with P&C and have had good luck with them. Their packaging could be better but everything has come to me in fine shape. Plus I was able to snag Bengal Slices at $8 a tin so happy happy.

Actually, I think P&C's backordering policy is pretty nice. And when the B/O comes back into stock, they don't charge extra for shipping. But then, most of what I order these days is for stock/cellaring, and I'm in no hurry.

But, it is crazy how many blends are just not in stock.

I just dropped a bundle on some bulk as I could find zero tins I was interested in.

Hmmm, I wonder if they may be clearing out inventory to go out of business. I get very skeptical when businesses do this, because if you've ever worked for a business that has permanently closed, this is exactly what they do. When they start running ads for 50% off of Borkum Riff, hold out till they drop everything to 80% off.

The sale of 20% ended on August 23rd. A friend just tried placing an order.

Sale should go on until 6PM EST tonight. There are exceptions that your friend may have been trying to buy (mostly cigars and companies that also make cigars like Dunhill, Ashton, Davidoff, etc).
I hope this is the case as I'm still 'refining' my cart and haven't yet placed the order....

Yep, everything that I checked was either out-of-stock or back-ordered. It makes one wonder about downsizing following the FDA dictate, possibly anticipating going out of business.

I have had mixed experiences with P&C, mostly positive, though enough negatives to limit my ordering only items not available elsewhere.

I think the low stock is due to pipers panicking about the new regs and buying up their favorites that won't be grandfathered in. I certainly hope P&C stays around. They really should have no problems as I've single-handedly payed the salary of most of their employees!
