Well, I just realized that this weekend I will have been enjoying the briar for 2 years!!! It's funny, I have learned so much in these past 2 years about our little hobby, that it feels like I have been at it much longer. That being said, I still have the same thirst for knowledge as when I started.
So here's to the next two years. I couldn't be happier!

Once you figure out how to keep the darn thing lit, you'd think that would about do it. The pipe is a study

and just keeps unfolding. I have somewhat built my own niche of interests and focus, but take an interest

in many others. I don't buy estate pipes, but I think of my older pipes as "one-owner estate pipes."

Congrats on your two year anniversary. Not everyone stays with it, but at two years you definitely know whether its a keeper or not. Moderate pipe smoking is a life enhancer, both in its physical and psychological effects, as well as on it's effects on our general spiritual well being. I know most pipers just view it as a hobby, and don't want get too mushy about it, but for many it has become something more akin to food and drink, a necessary component to the day. Happy puffin'.

Congrats on your 2 year anniversary. I will go a step further than Kashmir by saying that pipe smoking can be a life affirming aspect to ones existence. The amount of stress relief we get, the amount of enjoyment with multiple trips to Nirvana definitely make pipe smoking more than just a hobby, for me it is a way of life. Yes for many people it is a nicotine delivery system and that is great if it works for them. For others it is a minor hobby that they enjoy on occasion, and then there are the people like me who are so obsessed that the thought of going an entire day with out smoking my pipe would be too awful to contemplate.

Congrats on your milestone. I am coming up on a year and I feel like I learn something new with every smoke, cleaning, or resto attempt.
Here's to many more years of enjoyment.
