When I first found the Briary, I took it for granted that tobacco shops were all like this. And, then after dropping in on these shacks and barren shelved stores while travelling, I quickly figured out that The Briary was special. It is a huge multi roomed old farmhouse with mostly high grade pipes, with a few more affordable pipes in the mix. And, many bulks and a wall of tins. There is a huge walk in humidor that isn't out of the norm for a nice cigar shop and a nice lounge. There are other shops as large and nice as this, but I haven't found one with the selection of high caliber pipes like this. Many will stock heavy in factory pipes, but Skip has the luxury of having Ser Jacopo's artists just drop in one day, and Ian Walker is scheduled for a visit also. You may find Nording hanging out one day or any of a number of Italian or Danish artists. Skip works hard to bring in guests and keep a nice selection. It is a rather special place.
