Beside the story added last week "The Proposal", I have just added two additional stories. They are entitled "The Medal", and "The Ceremony". You may even find mention of this journal and the pipepodcast in one of them.

Enjoy

These stories are just a lot of fun. I highly recommend that you read the stories in sequence. There are just tons of references to pipes and tobacciana. It is always fun to figure who John is referring to with the names he gives his characters.

seilerjp...do you mind giving a little more background? Is this related to another thread you posted previously? Did you write the stories?

As requested, little further information from my website:
Emperor Leopaldo is the head of a feudalistic society far in the future where pipe collecting/pipe smoking is not politically incorrect, rather it is highly esteemed among the aristocracy. The stories were written by myself, a pipe collector and pipe smoker of over 30 years experience. You will recognize some of the items, places, themes, and maybe, some of the people. The names have been changed to protect the guilty. Come, join Leo, Nick, Lu Jo, Varten and the other characters, and maybe, you will learn something about a hobby that can yield much enjoyment.
The stories should be read in the order presented, with "Satisfaction" being the first as the characters and themes build on the previous story.
There are now 21 stories in the series written over 13 years.

I went back and re-read "The Surprise" and then did the three new stories in order. These stories are a lot of fun. I really like the "The Medallion" having been present in Chicago at the last two dinners where the new Doctor of Pipes honorees were announced.
