It took a fair amount of work, it's not perfect, but I'm pleased with the result. Here's what I started with:

Nice job of restoring this pipe. It looked like you could smoke it in its original state.
Thanks, but only close. The button still has some wear, that can't be unrung. The gunk inside the shank was as thick as I've ever encountered (folks who use the Dunhill stinger tubes should be thanked!). I gave it a good scrub and hope no ghosting remains.

Perhaps better than the current product. It certainly looks great. I'm not a Dunhill guy, but they make a handsome traditional pipe. Plenty of years left in that briar.
