Picked this up on EBay. Honestly it was not in bad shape when I got it. Just a light remming of the bowl. And the usual clean up, retort, hit the stem and rim with some micro mesh. Polish, but no wax. Buffed it out with horse hair brush. I have been liking the results as opposed to wax on my last few pipes. Smoked 2 bowls of 965 out of it today. Smoked nice. I really like the look of the Camargue series. Just bought another one in pot shape off ebay. That one will need a full restoration. Thought I would share. Thanks

That's an especially nice French design. All of my French pipes are traditional designs with nifty flourishes. BC does good work. There was "news" about BC closing, but either there is a lot of inventory out there with retailers, or the report was wrong. There are still plenty of new BC on offer. That's an olden goldie.

That's a nice looking pipe, the stain and stem really make it for me. I am curious as to the benefits of a horse hair brush though. Does it aid in buffing?
I use Carnauba wax when I use my buffing wheel. But I bought a horse hair brush at Walmart. It’s this one. It shines them up really nice. Saves me some time and I really like how they turn out. If you don’t have a buffer try it. It’s a quick no fuss way to shine you pipe.
