It's not fair! He gets to smoke inside his house AND inside his work, PLUS outside is nice all the time where he is! Lol

Just a couple of observations. It is 80 degrees today here in Florida. Secondly Mr. Embers has now effectively proved my often quoted theory that 19th century meerschaum man did not go very big on pipe hygiene nor did he treat his pipe as some weird kind of AR7 Henry Survival Rife and strip the thing down after each smoke thus wearing out the very fine threading in the meerschaum shank. That has really colored up nicely and I for one cannot wait to see the what it looks like at bowl 200.

Every time I see pictures of this pipe, I think ‘how does the tobacco not fall out.’ Anyone else? The optical illusion just increases the beauty of this pipe.
It's basically a slightly bent billiard.

I've found that once the pipe is fired up, tobacco doesn't fall out, and I smoke outside in the rain with pipe upside down.
Bingo.

I'm almost that luck I smoke in the house but work just wont let me :col:

I can smoke anywhere at work as long as I'm not around any flammable chemicals.

That's a great looking pipe, and it's coloring up very nicely. Did you smoke the same tobacco each time or have you had different blends?

I've noticed that aromatics will help the pipe color faster compared to English and Virginia blends. Unfortunately, I mainly smoke English and Virginia's so my pipes don't seem to color as fast as others.
