Having a rough time as of late. That's why I'm selling tins from my cellar, just to pay my damn bills. Pisses me off.

Anyway, it's a great idea, and I hope it helps the newbies and gives you some extra to buy what you want.

Peace
I wish you much strength my friend during this challenging time. I hope it all works out asap. I am sorry if I came off harsh. - Peace to you

Hey everybody it’s all good. I apologize for initiating a subject that caused conflict. So to share I am married with 1 boy thru college and another in college with those bills on a limited budget. My wife’s car is a 2004 model, my truck is 2007 model and I keep them running. I need a new roof and a new air conditioner and I am lucky my wife lets me spend a dime on my vices of tobacco and bourbon. We give away old clothes and furniture and books and toys to local Boys and Girls Country or the Angels Attic. I am definitely not looking for profits. The idea of opening and weighing out and bagging all those samples is already a buzz kill. I just thought it was a win/win to both help newbies have access to a large genre of tobaccos at a low cost, AND yes I also would love to eliminate a lot of my cellar and recoup some money so I can buy more that my palate enjoys. I don’t even want the money and would love to trade a 100 sample kit for say 4 tins of 3P.

I will still consider it if anyone is interested just msg me.

Don't apologize. I was the only one conflicted.

Sounds great, post it in the For Sale/Trade. See how it goes. Not sure how many newbies will have 4 tins of 3P to trade you, but you never know till you put it out there. I've had some stuff sell, and some stuff never sell.

It's tough all over right now, so if you can sell some, do it!

I remember something like this 10 or so years ago on a different forum. It was a bit more organized though. The organizer would put out a call on a thread. Newbies would respond and "experienced pipers" would respond as well. The organizer paired up a newbie with an experienced piper and the experienced piper would send out a package of samples of a variety of blends and the newbie would purchase a tin or two of the experienced pipers choice and have it delivered to him. It seems most if not all exchanges were such that the newbie got far more in their package than they had delivered to their partner. As monty55 noted, experienced pipers tended to bomb the bajezus out of their newbie partners...

I was going to do something similar to this, I really want to thin my cellar out A LOT. I have 200+ blends jarred up and most of it were just one off blends I bought to try (mostly before joining the forums and getting blends to try from members) and most of them I’m never going to get more of.

I was thinking of doing a sample sale to try and clear it out, like for $20+shipping you can pick any 10 blends from my list and you’ll get a 10gram bag of each or just outright sell/trade what I have left in the jars (they are mostly full).
