Now, the kicker is the instrument to scrape. She is attempting to clean and scrape off her new car with a ….. frying pan. Yes. A frying pan. A non-stick, well loved frying pan that she pulled from the back of the car.

I have seen it all. Lord take me home.
Well moments like those are why they invented phones with cameras. You painted a great picture but wish we could have seen the photographic evidence!

I got my package today, if my phone camera weren't busted I'd take a picture of the haul but I got some really good looking and well aged tins that I'm not familiar with, along with some pipe cleaners cause I always need pipe cleaners. There were also some loose beans in the box and I dont know where those came from but it was funny and made the box sound interesting as I grabbed it.

Tins included, C&D Bijou aged a few years, Interlude which is bursting at the seams, and Anthology 1992-2022 which also looks super tasty. New to me is Castello Flammata which is a tasty looking Va/Per, Cringle Flake from 23 and 22, and I snagged a tin from someone on the forum but I now have another tin of Per Jensen's Paradoxical which looks absolutely up my alley. I gotta up my smoking game these all look delicious, thank you and som besths to my secret santa!
Sorry about the lack of a card. We didn't have any and I wanted to get the box out the door asap. Also, that Castello is quite old too ;-)

I didn't have my phone on me as it was early in the morning and we had just finished breakfast. I stood there in awe and utter bafflement at the instrument of choice. Only later, much later did it occur to me that perhaps I should have gone out and helped instead of gawking.

First thought on popping the lid: "Hmm, what smells like brand-new sneakers?" 🤔

Second thought: once again, I'm blown away by the thoughtfulness of my match!

All of these items (except for the pipe cleaners) are brand new to me, and I can't wait to try them! I'd never heard of a "Yooper Bar" before, but I love milk chocolate. And I've long been curious about "Captain Bob's Blend" (in the baggie.) That's what gave the box its unique smell. New sneakers smell vaguely like artificial grape -- at least to me -- and it's a fond association. 🤩

I popped open the McChrystal's "Smoker's Blend" snuff first and took a pinch before heading in to work. Lovely stuff, very citrusy.

Thank you, Secret Santa! Som Besths! 😎

Glad they didn’t send you used pipe cleaners.

Ashton Artisan's is a stout English blend, very strong and tasty, and the room note will scare away the less fortified women.
