It’s really interesting. It absolutely has this smokey vibe. Since it’s Mesquite it’s not a sweet smoke but it’s not bitter like a hard core Lagavulin.

It’s good enough I ordered a bottle, but I definitely need more time with it to explore it.

I love whiskey, whisky and bourbon Old Fashioneds and sometimes I make an Old Fashioned with Habanero Bitters, a little Mole and some Agave Syrup so this would just top that experience off.

(I’ll keep the aftershave bottle for travel in my bag)

I got in a shady looking box today. I had to look back through numerous messages to see if it was someone i had recently done a trade with. Turns out it was not my SS match, but a recent trade that I had forgotten the persons name. I have such a bad memory…..

I certainly was glad to get the SPC plum pudding it contained though. Looks like Christmas smokes for me.

My secret Santa was that British Badger, ha ha.! Who would've guessed?
And wow, ODF, Bold Kentucky, Nightcap, Majestic from an unknown to me called Wilsons of Sharrow, pigtail, and Black Irish Twist. Some favorites of mine, and a new one. Some stem polish, and a briar polish to keep my pipes all shiny on the outside, Pipecleaners to keep them shiny on the inside. And a really nice card written in British.

Thank you Mr. Badger. I’m surprised and happy. I hope yours gets to you as fast as yours.

What a nice surprise on a Friday to come home to ----- SS package received! Extremely thoughtful all the way around and especially intrigued by the "home brew" blend and a little clay pipe (never had one, this will be fun!). I think Home Brew VaPer in a clay sounds like a good WAYS for tomorrow - thanks Santa! (My match didn't give away his handle but I'm pretty sure I've figured it out if his dog's future is so bright it has to wear shades).

It's only a coincidence if someone posts their SS gifts in a couple of weeks and they all look just like this!

(Kidding of course, I'm excited to dive in - we're having another snowstorm tomorrow - good day for garage reflection).
