Good morning all!

I wanted to check in and get some advice from more experienced smokers about this special "Kitchen Sink" blend I'm preparing for my SS 2025 -- is it ready to go, or do you think I should age it for another week?

Save some for an extra week of aging, then label it “small batch limited release”.

Just checking in on all of you - how are you all feeling today?
Been on a trip all week and am wiped out from having to leave for the airport at 4 AM this morning to make the first flight of the day.
Now relaxing on my front porch, contentedly smoking a bowl of Momoyama with a frantically happy dog draped across my lap.
I’ve been following the proceedings while away. My recipient has a much better cellar than mine, (I know this because we’ve traded blends in the past) so I will have to give some consideration as to what sweepings will be most appropriate for the occasion.

McClelland won’t do as he’s loaded with the stuff.

Started off a little hungover, but doing better now thank you for asking. Got my match’s shopping done, packed it up and headed to the post office tomorrow at lunchtime to send it off!
How are you feeling, Santa Mike?

My sister is on her way to my house from the Memphis airport. My nephew and niece arrive on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. They don't know their mom is coming. So I need to have a conversation with my niece to see just who she thought was going to be the designated asshole to come get her from the airport in lieu of cooking turkey dinner. Her excuse is that she didn't want to ask (even just fucking ask) her lab partner to do the lab a day early so she could fly out Wednesday. I can then have the convo with her about treating my sister like shit the last 4 years when she is going to school for free because of my sister. Don't get me started on my BIL who isn't even invited to this dumpster fire.

My wife, once she understood the scale of shitstorm descending on our farm, decided that it would behoove her to go visit her parents (81 and 84 years old) in Havasu. I was the one who suggested it, since I got to spend 3 days with them this summer (They are awesome, btw) and they aren't getting any younger. My brother and his family, along with my dad are readying the popcorn maker to watch the drama unfold.

And I get to cook the whole dinner: one baked turkey because my darling niece is allergic to peanuts; one deep fried turkey because fuck her, I am having a deep fried turkey... in peanut oil; a 10lb boneless rib roast; two types of sweet potatos (sis can't eat dairy and I thrive on butter); Watergate salad; 2 kinds of mashed potatoes because, sister; green bean casserole; 2 types of stuffing; veggie tray with Uncle Dan's Southern Style Buttermilk Ranch (which is ironically from Idaho); pecan and cherry pies; and lots of dinner rolls.

Edit: So, yeah, a bit apprehensive is how I am feeling. With a healthy dose of vexation.

Praying for strength for you brother, that sounds like a handful! Here’s hoping everything goes as smoothly as possible.
