That’s what me and my wife did, almost. In Texas you do need an officiant, which is what my internet-ordained friend did over Zoom because it was at the height of the ice storm in ‘21. Luckily our witnesses were already with us, since they were essentially our roommates at the time. It looks like you guys had much better weather, and a roaring fire to boot! By many standards, perhaps. In Pennsylvania (probably related to something having to do with Quakers), it’s possible to self unite without the need for a clergyman or justice of the peace. We had our required two witnesses for it to be legal. We’ll probably have some kind of gathering with family and friends at a later date. When you start calculating which guests to invite, things start to get complicated quickly with adding spouses. When you have a witness like this, it stays simple:
