Are the Drew Estate Factory Smokes sweetened and/or flavored? They use Indonesian tobacco, is that tobacco leaf? I'm looking for non-sweet and non-flavored with that cigar leaf 'spice'. Maybe the Connecticut Shade or the Sun Grown?

I like the Factory Smokes Maduro for a good, cheap, flavorful smoke. I always keep them around.

The Java line is a nice change of pace. It's coffee flavored, but it's subtle and tasty. They come in different flavor variations and sizes.

I've had a few more of their cigars but I don't remember much about those.
I second Factory Smokes Maduro. It's a decent daily smoke for cheap. You won't get any fancy transitions but it's pretty consistent chocolate/espresso flavor.

I like Drew Estate cigars a lot. They actually incorporate pipe tobacco into quite a few. I hate Acid but they're not bad by any means, they're very well made I just don't like flavored cigars.

The Factory Smokes Sweet has a sweetened tip; I tried one once, and it wasn't bad.

The Factory Smokes Shade occasionally felt like it had a sweetened tip, but not always. Neither flavor nor construction were nearly as good as the Sweet.

I'd like to try the Maduro some day if I can find a single.

I just received some of the dark and light versions of the coffee infused today. They say wait a bit before enjoying so they are in the closet and I’ll wait to post pics when I light up the first one. Even in the wrappers they smell fantastic.

One of my go-to cigars is Drew Estates Undercrown 10th Anniversary (UC10). It's got a Mexican San Andreas wrapper with broadleaf binder and Nicaraguan filler. If you drink beer try it with a Guinness and it'll really sing!

All of the Undercrowns are excellent in my opinion. A lot of people say that Liga Privada has gone downhill over the years, either beause of Swisher buying Drew or because of Saka and Melillo leaving, but I really enjoyed the few I've had. I love that they made Undercrown as a cheaper alternative to Ligas.

I've definitely heard that as well. Unfortunately, I wasn't into cigars back when Saka was running things and before the buyout. But I couldn't agree more, it's hard to beat the UC series. Really great bang for the buck!

Side note, I'm really glad Melillo and Saka left though. I'd hate to live in a world without Dunbarton and Foundation, haha.

Yeah it's like how as a new pipe smoker there's a lot of blends I really enjoy that long timers say have been ruined. It sucks there's been changes that alienate longtime customers but I still enjoy them for what they are now. And same, Dunbarton and Foundation are amazing. They're my go to brands for higher dollar smokes, and the Charter Oaks and Umbagogs are great budget options too

I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately I wasn't there for the "good old days" with pipe tobacco either. But in a sense, we may be better off not having known the good life since we won't miss it. I bet Frog Morton was delicious, but I'll never know.

But the STG buyout on the other hand is going to sting. There are quite a few blends I'm going to miss and I've stocked up enough as I'm comfortable with. But there are so many more blends i just never got around to trying from sutliff or Mac baren that I probably won't be affected as bad as others.

When that new C&D firebird dropped, I had absolutely no idea what people were talking about, much less how they even knew about it... And i was beginning to think i was in the know 😂

I'm on that exact same page. I really wish I couldn't tried Frog Morton and a few others, and it's crazy to think there's stuff I've smoked that newcomers from this point on will wish they got to try. Hell even Plum Pudding might go the way of Frog Morton soon.

Ohh man you're so right. And thank you for reminding me to pick up some plum pudding! I've been so caught up with the bulk stuff I usually smoke i completely forgot about it. I guess I'm not done after all, haha.

On that now, I'm going to head to bed, great chatting with you and I'll see you around!
