    Smoked meat- -dry rubbed only. No sauce. Growing up in my household, sauce, especially sweet sauce on smoked meat was and still is blasphemous and illegal.

    Churchwardens?

    I bought two Peterson churchwardens this year at about $100 a piece. They are much smaller than I anticipated. Shanks are pencil thin. Also both of them gurgle more than any of my other pipes. Not bad pipes just not recommended by me.

    Pleasant Cellar Surprises

    I found a small jar of H&H distinguished penguin that was half-hazardously sealed with tobacco bits obstructing the seal. It‘s dry as a bone and I love it. My cellar is so deep and disorganized that I anticipate I’ll have many more pleasant surprises in my future.

    Anise / Licorice

    I’m a fan of licorice. I bought a 5 pack of Toscano licorice last weekend. They taste more like a woman’s perfume than they do licorice and terrible to me.
