Cigar Air Purifiers - Do They Work

I don't know that keeping a place clean exactly fixes the smell issue, maybe for the smoker but it's the same thing as being a cat owner and not smelling its litterbox like visitors might, just because you're used to it. Cigarettes, same thing. Pipe smoke is different for whatever reason, it...

Cigar Air Purifiers - Do They Work

Great answers, thank you everyone. I think you confirmed my assumption! Pipe smoke doesn't seem to stick to things as much for whatever reason, so I supposed cigars will remain a summer thing. I've just been a bit into them lately and was curious.

Cigar Air Purifiers - Do They Work

Been smoking more cigars - I was curious if anyone has an air purifier for smoking indoors, and if so, if they really do eliminate the smell? I've read various things and I'm not sure I'm convinced that they actually do truly eliminate odor (though it seems they do at least help). Curious as...

    DUNE is a Dud.

I thought the movie was good, actually. They did a good job pay homage to the works of HR Giger and Alejandro Jodorowsky. Still woulda liked to have seen his nine hour, Pink Floyd soundtrack'd version, but he flew too close to the sun. At least we got Alien, Blade Runner, etc out of it.

How Dry? A Good Place To Start

Generally speaking, drying, unless the tobacco is ridiculously wet, is somewhat over-rated and I find something less experienced smokers tend to focus on due to its spread on forums as some kind of conventional wisdom. One must keep in mind that, along with the concept of cellaring, this is a...

Are These Fissures Common and/or What Do They Signify?

I bet this guy's tobacco was too dry so it burned too fast and got too hot ok ok ok, ribbing aside I do prefer moist tobacco and I've been doing it long enough to know what I like. Different strokes for different folks. anyways I'm off to go lick a wet dog and eat some damp cardboard for dinner.

Are These Fissures Common and/or What Do They Signify?

see, dry tastes like a rotten hay fire to me, so, there you go. Always more flavor in the moister flakes.

Are These Fissures Common and/or What Do They Signify?

eh. i don't dry my SG flakes and I'm good to go. If you jam it in there and rip on it like a freight train then yeah, definitely. as with every other variable in pipe smoking moisture level is a preference. i don't like crispy tobacco at all, some folks seem to think it's the best.

Are These Fissures Common and/or What Do They Signify?

Yeah, drying has nothing to do with burnout. I never dry my tobacco and don't get spiderwebbing or anything in my bowls. Heat matters, which can be influenced by cadence. Those are salvagable, but I'd reach out to the place you bought 'em from and see if they'll take them back. Since they're...
