What is your "grab & go" tobacco?

Cabbie’s mixture sounds very good. But I’m afraid it’s as readily available as Dunbar & Tilbury 😂

What is your "grab & go" tobacco?

Cigars make up 90% of my smoking these days......and it's been awhile since I've smoked a pipe with any consistency. So I'm somewhere in between novice & experienced (closer to novice). There are times when I prefer to sit & relax with a pipe....like on a fishing trip....when I just want to...

    Any experience with Posella pipes?

Thank you! Much appreciated. That’s the nudge I needed…;-)

    Any experience with Posella pipes?

I prefer sandblasted or rusticated briar. Posella has a very interesting and attractive rustication that caught my eye - but there is little info on them….. Photo courtesy of the Briary

I've Been Gone 5 Years...What the Hell Happened?

"Buy some Plum Pudding Special Reserve, MM Partyline, Haunted Bookshop Cake, Freja and Loki and smoke those dudes right out of the tin... snag a tin of Palmetto Balkan, if you can find it." Thank you I'll start here. Looking for the classic VaPers; VaBurs, maybe light Latakia. My most smoked...

I've Been Gone 5 Years...What the Hell Happened?

OK I didn't serve time...but I gave up pipe smoking over 5 years ago in favor of cigars. While I still enjoy cigars, I kinda miss pipe smoking a bit and found an old Peterson and figured I'd grab some tobacco and give it a go... I gave away all the tobacco in my cellar to friends and...

Does tobacco that has been well stored for more than 20 years get better?

Are there certain brands/blends that are known to age well? I was under the assumption that Samuel Gawith VA flakes, Germain & Esoterica blends age well….

    The Elusive $5 Cigar

Padron 3000 (natural or maduro) is an outstanding hand rolled cigar that can be had for about $6 - from the top maker of cigars….

I'm the only pipe smoker I know personally, so...

It's not good. Smoke is smoke and it's unavoidable, and always detectable to non-smokers. I smoke outside and I shower after my smoking session, and attend to mouth hygeine as well. If you value female company, trust me on this.

    A Walmart Horror Story.

I do my best to support my small local businesses. I pay a bit extra because their service is top notch. That being said, there is an expression in my neighborhood.... "The people working at Wal-Mart are the people that Target rejected."

    Your Best Rock Guitarist Pick?

I agree the drummer list is shorter. Most people argue Neil Pert or John Bonham. I'll throw in Stewart Copeland. .

sorry to hear that about Jeff Healy..... OK up until now we all assumed that the OP meant "lead guitarist"....how about some bass players???? The Godfather of Metal......LEMMY. He's been making toenails curl since the release of "Ace of Spades" in 1980....

    Your Best Rock Guitarist Pick?

FWIW John Lennon answered this question : "Chuck Berry" Eddie Van Halen answered this question: "nobody plays me like me. Nobody plays Clapton like Clapton Nobody plays Jimi like Jimi. We are all the best at our own style of playing." I think that's the ultimate answer.

    Your Best Rock Guitarist Pick?

People are all over the place with this question..we all prefer different styles & sounds, but if we answer the question of who plays the instrument the best, there are only 2 considerations in my opinion. Jimi Hendrix I myself am no guitarist, but I have friends & cousins who are. Some even cut...

Can an open tin of tobacco get "skunky"

The difference on my case is that the tins were open and the tobacco was exposed to the elements. Don't think there is any problem with sealed tins exposed to heat/humidity. In fact, some folks "stove" their tobacco tins by leaving the sealed tin on their car dashboard on a hot summer day.
