Also I did notice how this (captain black) could be low grade as I pulled out 2 or 3 stem pieces just for my one bowl I was packing.- matts26

This is definitely what happened then... tomorrow if I get to try it I will let is sit out for awhile longer. I had my pipe cleaner cut off and bent in half in the stem and when I pulled it out after the smoke it was soaked.- matts26

It actually wasnt cheap I picked some up at lunch for $7 for 1.5 oz I notice I can find it online for $32 for a 12oz can which makes it about $3 an oz. Where at online for the 1q? Link? Where is CB 21.95 for 8oz?- matts26

So I have been smoking Sunset Rum from Milan Tobacconists and I'm thinking of seeing If my local tobacco store has any captain black heard it was good for a "cheaper" mix. Does anyone have any other recommendations like that? :?:- matts26

Pipe for a beginner?
Well no good pipe finds at the antique mall but there were a lot of pipe racks some with jars some without. Are the old glass humidity with the wooden lids suppose to have rubber gaskets? I notice they have a little round price of looks like plaster screwed to the bottom of the lids do those... -

Man I like that Mark Tinsky and the Shotshell! I have liked them so far especially now since I removed the filter. And I have been doing alot of ebay surfing as well. Today I plan on going to the local antique mall/flea market see if I can catch any good finds. -

i try to smoke it light and slow lank and dumb question but should your mouth be totally closed around pipe or partially open when you take a puff? I've done both ways seem ok either way...once again I do feel kinda... dumb for asking that...- matts26
