    My First Few Carved Pipes.

Yeah, I am having trouble navigating this website, sorry for the confusion!

    My First Few Carved Pipes.

Thanks! That means a lot. I’ve only done 4 so far, and each one looks better than the last. I’ll post pictures when I make the next one. John Paul

Preach brother! The old Slovaks, Irish and Russians who make up those groups know how to smoke.

Perhaps! But I enjoy it, so I’ll continue.

    My First Few Carved Pipes.

Well to be honest, it was a bit of a screw-up that worked out ok. Underneath that barrel-like thing is a metal rod connecting the body to the stem. It looked so odd, I needed to thicken it out. I cut little bits of wood into tiny planks, and glued them in the shape of a barrel, then wrapped it...

    My First Few Carved Pipes.

On the introduction forum for new members, I was encouraged to share the pipes I’ve carved. I’ve been told this is the place! Here are my attempts at briar tobacco pipes.

No! So sorry to hear that. Tobacco is a real gift, and it brings people together. If that’s a sin, then lock me up. Maybe you could try setting up a philosophy forum here? I know that’s nowhere near the same thing, but over time you might get a group of guys who are local enough to meet in...

How Ya Doing? From New York

We think with the same mind! I see your pipes and they are lovely. I made a few clay pipes back in high school art class, but for some reason, the teacher wasn’t alright with my firing them in the school kiln. Something about being too young to smoke or some nonsense like that. I particularly...

My Philosophy prof. had us read that whole article. It’s a really neat comparison between Plato’s tripartite soul, and tobacco ingestion. I‘d love to see an updated version or a follow up that includes vapes and pouches! I (unfortunately) am not near by, but if I could recommend inviting men...

How Ya Doing? From New York

Hey Pecos! I first started with a pipe last year, after trying my hand at carving a few. At first I thought they just looked cool, but now I am enjoying the complexities of flavor from different tobaccos. Still very new!

    Howdy from the Mid-West!

What a neat website! I don’t know much about pipes in general, but I did start carving them out of briar last year. I’ve only made a few, but I love the whole process. I like the idea of having a steps that must be taken, in order to achieve an end. For instance, having a nice shaving kit, or...
