Has Anyone Tried Putting Tobacco on a Traeger?

I was reading in a different thread about removing some moisture from wet tobacco by stoving it for a bit in the oven at 250 degrees. It made me wonder if I could do this with tobacco in my Traeger. Would this add some depth and creativity to the tobacco? Maybe I could get some whole leaf...

Is There Such a Thing as Pipe Tobacco Sommelier

I have seen wine sommeliers, and even cigar sommeliers, but not a pipe tobacco sommelier. Are there any palates out there developed well-enough to be able to identify pipe tobacco by their scent, taste, etc? Super experienced wine sommeliers can even narrow a wine down to a particular year...

I’ll admit it’s a little juvenile, but I picked up my first meerschaum at the Columbus pipe show last weekend.

That is exactly the pipe I've been looking for. Did they have others? Do you know the shop you bought it from and if they have an online store?

Buying and Blending Tobacco from LeafOnly

How do you keep an eye on this? And if the leaves are too moist, do you just let them sit out for a day or two?

Buying and Blending Tobacco from LeafOnly

Has anyone ever bought tobacco leaf from LeafOnly and tried to make your own blends from it? You can get a whole pound of various types of tobacco leaf for about $20. I suppose then you have to cut it, blend it, and maybe ferment it, etc. This sounds like a fun hobby to me, and also a...

    High Nicotine Pipe Tobacco Recommendations

I do have a few of the GH Twists to try. And a tin of C&D DFK. Put the Jack Knife on my wishlist. Thanks!

    High Nicotine Pipe Tobacco Recommendations

On my wishlist ... but almost always out of stock.

    High Nicotine Pipe Tobacco Recommendations

I have tried 1792 and Black XX. I do enjoy both. I have a tin of Irish Flake, but haven't opened it yet. Thanks for the recommendations! That cherry twist though ... some reviews say the cherry is overwhelming. Others say it is completely absent. How odd.

    High Nicotine Pipe Tobacco Recommendations

I am relatively new to pipe smoking and have discovered that my favorite pipe tobaccos are those that have the highest nicotine content and Dark Fired Kentucky. Here are some that I have enjoyed the most: -HH Mac Baren Rustica -HH Mac Baren Old Dark Fired -G&H Dark Plug / Dark Flake -G&H...

3x HH Old Dark Fired tins swap for tinned English blends (GLP or similar) (07/24/25)

I'll trade you. Though I don't have any good English tins from 2023 in my cellar... If you tell me which three you want from SmokingPipes dot com or Pipesandcigars dot com, I can buy them and have them shipped to you. If that sounds good, DM me the requested tins and your address.

Aromatics are Not for the Pipe-Smoker

I have yet to try to try some Lakelands. I only have a couple pipes, and I hear they can cause ghosting, so I think that getting a Lakeland also requires me to get a pipe, right? Which one(s) are your favorite?

Aromatics are Not for the Pipe-Smoker

All the Captain Black line 10 or so blends from Country Squire (I actually really did enjoy Tombigbee, now that I think about it). About a dozen from Sutliff 10 or so blends from C&D (I actually did enjoy Autumn Evening, Apricots and Cream, and Black Frigate, but I got tired of them rather...

Aromatics are Not for the Pipe-Smoker

I *think* I do. I heard it after I had been smoking for a few months, and so I read about it online and watched some videos and learned that lots of people really struggle with doing it. I had been doing it almost naturally since the first week, so it made me wonder if I was really doing it...

Aromatics are Not for the Pipe-Smoker

Yeah ... I wasn't trying to be offensive or snarky. It made an observation that many reviews of aromatics talk about how their wife likes it, and from this observation, I made a unwise and foolish generalization, which ... based on this thread ... is completely untrue! Frankly, I would LOVE to...

Aromatics are Not for the Pipe-Smoker

I have come to a realization... aromatics are not for the pipe-smoker, but for the pipe-smoker's wife. I am working through several of the aromatics recommended to me by various threads and websites as "the best aromatic." Maybe they are just not for me, or maybe my palate isn't developed...

Need Some Advice on DIY Blending

It's odd, because I have "not enjoyed" several tins from each tobacco category ... several aromatics were just bland. Several English tins were too strong. Several burleys seemed to have no character or flavor. Some Virginias seemed to bite too much. Here are two tins so far that I have LOVED...

End Tobacco Loopholes Act (United States)

I'm 50. I plan to live to 100. ;) So how much tobacco do I need to purchase now to last me for the next 50 years?

Need Some Advice on DIY Blending

I've been smoking a pipe for about a year. In that time, I have opened and NOT enjoyed around 15 or 20 tins. With these, I usually put it in a mason jar and cellar it. I've been told to come back to them in a couple years because maybe my palate will have changed by then, and I will like them...
