    Anyone have Dunhill innertubes?

One of my Dunhill innertube patent pipes has a really open draw without tube inside. I'm thinking that the tube that's missing will do just the trick. Anyone have experience with Dunhills with/without tube? Also, anyone have one or know where I can find those? This is strictly to tighten up the...

    Anybody Like Gawith Shag Cut?

Title edited for caps. Please read rule 9. I love Skiff and other Gawiths. Anyone actually like the vintage shag cut though? I find it a hassle to get correct proportions and the smaller pieces of latakia fall to the bottom of the jar. It's hard to keep consistent and you have to tear the...

Who can Make Dunhill Dot Stem?

So, I have a beautiful Dunhill Shell from the 40's, but it needs a new stem. Who can make one, period correct with a dot on it? I know somebody that can make one, but only no dot. If so, can anyone help me with the dot. I know it's just a hole more or less with a plastic stick glued in it.

I am looking to buy some HH Vintage Syrian. Must have a good reputation here. PM me for more information. Thanks!

    Please Recommend a New Balkan

I'm always looking for something new that I haven't try in hopes to stock up/age. I like stronger Englishes/Balkans ie Nightcap, Quiet Nights, Margate, etc, but without the Latakia being to the point of being overbearing. Abingdon would be what I call overbearing. I'm getting ready to pull the...

    NPD: 1940 Dunhill Shell

New pipe day. This little 1940 craggy Shell billiard is an amazing smoker. I'm already looking for another Shell, this time a 50's.

    Aging Balkins

I've been wondering lately how some of my Balkin blends will hold up for the future. I have bought favorites and enough to last 15-20 years for when blends dissappeare or become rediculously expensive. My question is, will these blends still hold up well? Ive had Vintage Syrian at 9 years of age...

    Custom Northern Briars Lovat

Got a new Northern Briars Lovat. It's a smaller pipe at only 4.8 inches. No suprise, it's another great smoker.

    Anyone notice?(C&D content)

Anybody else notice a change in C&D's use of Cyrpian latakia to Turkish latakia in certain blends? I just noticed at smokingpipes that the Two Friends blend English Chocolate now features Turkish Latakia(along with a label change). I was wondering if there are anymore blends that changed and now...

    Dunhill 1960? Billiard

Just got another estate. First time having a Dunhill. I've always wanted a Dunhill billiard and couldn't pass this one up. It's a smaller, group 2 pipe. I have to say, it's one of the best smoking pipes that I own. Sometimes, it doesn't matter how thin a pipes walls are, it's more of a design...

    First Savinelli Pipe

I just bought my first Savinelli. I have to say I'm quite impressed. With my Smokingpipes discount and it being on sale, I couldn't pass an 85$ deal up. I got the 321 Tre because the 320 I held was too clunky and I don't use filters. I have to admit, I've always been a little put off by...

    New pipe rack (1940's)

I got a new pipe rack. It's a roll up, which is great because I have it near a window and don't have to worry about the sun on my pipes. It moves smooth as butter, you can tell it will never break. I wish I had another one that held more!

Where do you Find Peak Enjoyment?

I smoke mainly medium Englishes. My question is; where do you find the peak enjoyment in a blend? I have heard for some people it's in the beginning where as others it is later. Also, I've heard some say it is different for every blend they smoke. For me, regardless of what blend it is, after...

    New custom cob

This is my new custom order cob from Eric Mills. I think he did a wonderful job!

First experience G&H Dark Flake Scented

My new order just got in. Of those tobaccos is Gawith & Hoggarth Dark Flake Scented. This is my first experience smoking this blend and I'm blown away. It is full and smooth. The Lakeland flavorings are so perfectly balanced with the tobaccos that I have no interests in trying the unscented...

    I Don't Like Too Dry

I'm one of those people who does not like my tobacco too dry. It has to pass the 'pinch test', but I definitely am not one to preload a bowl at night for in the morning or let tobacco sit out for long periods of time. I like the Peterson/Dunhill and Gl Pease straight from the tin moisture level...

    New pipe day Northern Briars

Just got a custom order Northern Briars billiard. It's my first experience with them and it turned out to be exactly what I asked for. It's a great pipe. Also, it only took 2 weeks to get from start to finish!!!

    Tell me about Drucquer&Sons

Which blends would you recommend? Most of them sound interesting to me and I've been an admirer of GL Pease's work.

    Rubber pipe bits

Anyone use those rubber pipe bits? I've been satisfied with using them and can clench more easily, however yesterday when I removed it to polish my stem, I noticed that there was some slight oxidation left where the bit was. I suppose it's from my saliva being trapped there after smoking. Do you...

    New tobacco purchase

I just made a purchase of some new tobaccos (new to me). I got Nightcap, Charing Cross, Gaslight, and SPC Plumpudding flake on the way. What do you guys think about those? I've been really enjoying Quiet Nights lately and wanted to see how his other blends are for a change of pace. Wasn't that...
