    Need a Peterson Recommendation

I’d be interested in trying one with a fishtail. Whenever I smoke my standard System’s I have a tendency to catch the P-lip on my teeth when removing it from my mouth.

    Need a Peterson Recommendation

Hello, System pipes have P-lips. The butt (tip) is shaped different than standard P-lips--a bit larger. This is based on my experience —I have many. Hope this helps!

New Member here. Hello from New Haven, CT.

Welcome from Ohio! I can relate: I’m 48 and started pipe smoking about seven months ago. I gave it a try about twenty years ago and had no clue what I was doing, so I quickly gave it up. There’s a lot of help on this forum as well as YouTube. Nothing wrong with a Dr. Grabow, I have several in my...

Peterson St Patrick's Day 2023 Pipes at SP?

You make a good point: Peterson’s stamping—particularly their name—has been stamped lightly on quite a few of my new pipes. I’m tempted to contact them and suggest they use more care. Yeah…the rusticated 2023 St. P’s pipes are really nothing fancy. I liked my 120 enough that I also ordered a...

    Pipe Smoking and Mental Health

I suffer from job-related PTSD & Anxiety. Pipe smoking definitely helps my mood and reduces my anxiety level. I pick a pipe, pick a tobacco, and turn off TV’s and music then just relax with my smoke. I’ve always done way too much thinking for my own good, but when I’m smoking a pipe I can relax...

Peterson St Patrick's Day 2023 Pipes at SP?

Same here. The SP site was a mess! I’m ok with rusticated, I prefer them over smooth. Plus, the smooth & blasted are numbered from what I hear. I won’t feel bad about smoking this one.

    Hello. New Member from Ohio

Cool, thanks for the info. I was hoping The Pipe Rack wouldn’t turn out to be just another glass pipe shop. I’m really looking forward to it!

Thanks! I’m going to search out some pipe shops. There’s one in Akron I hear is good—maybe this weekend I’ll drive out. 👍🏻
