Hello all.
Enjoying a two weeks vacation in Greece (Rhodes) with a cold beer and Orlik Golden Sliced in an Altinay rusticated Dublin.
Soon time for a swim in the pool 😁
Early in the morning I smoked Fribourg & Treyer Vintage.
It was a very pleasant smoke, so I wanted another bowl of that blend.
This time in an Altinay rusticated Dublin w/silver band.
Starting the day with Fribourg & Treyer Vintage in an Eltang Basic.
Haven't smoked this tobacco for more than 10 years - now I wonder why, it's a great mild Virginia for the morning smoke.
Now I always smoke my flakes rubbed out.
I've tried fold and stuff many times, but it didn't do anything good for me.
I rub out a tin, when I open it (50 or 100 gr.) and keep it in my jars. That makes it easy to grab the jar and load the pipe.
Next smoke of the day is Orlik Golden Sliced in the new Altinay rusticated dublin w/silver band.
Smoked this pipe for a week now - and it's only getting better and better 😁
Today the after-breakfast smoke is My Own Blend "Elizabethan" in an Altinay rusticated billard Silver Spigot.
Only have few bowls left of this beautiful tobacco, so now I have to visit The Danish Pipe Shop again 🫣
I've never been a clencher - only for a very short time.
After some dental-work a few years ago it got worse - couldn't clench at all.
Then I discovered Soft Bites. Using them and practicing slower cadance (just sipping) have maked a big difference.
Now I can clench for 5 - 10 minutes before...
After a rainy morning finally a little sun.
Smoking one of my all-day favorites Orlik Golden Sliced.
This time in an Altinay rusticated billard Silver Spigot.
Wish you all a good and smokey Sunday.
I can follow you. I also don't baby my Meerschaums, but I have travelled with my Meers many times.
Next month I'm going for a two weeks holiday in Rhodes (Greece) and I'm not planning to bring any Briars - only three (maybe four) Altinay Meerschaums - I know it works for me 😁
Still "breaking in" the new Altinay rusticated dublin w/silver band.
This morning with Vauen Virginia Flake #14.
Only six bowls in - and allready one of my favorite smokers 😁
Thank you.
Since I retired (about 6 months ago) I've smoked meerschaum pipes 80% of the time - all Altinay's, because all my meerschaum pipes are from Altinay.
