C&D’s Palmetto Balkan

Muletown Pipe show - Columbia, TN.
I'm goon in the yellow hat checking him in. There were over 500 folks there this year. I've never been to any other pipe shows but I overheard more than one vendor say it was the best in the country and this year was the best yet. Vermont Freehand has some good coverage on their instagram as well.- Oddball

Jim's C&D Sansepolcro 2024 Small Batch Review.
This stuff will stand on you if you are not careful. I got 2/3 through a bowl on the way in and had to put it down. It never did fully ripen in flavor. Going to try again after a big meal to get to the bottom of a bowl....- Oddball

@cosmicfolklore I hear you pal. I also always buy two tins. One for now and one for the 2030s... I think the aged blends I have smoked are more mellow but that's not always my bag... Sometimes I want to be hit in the face with the smoke from spark to ash... I've also hit all those other...- Oddball

Over the last year I smoked some 1960s Dunhill, 3 Year Virginia, various 10+ year old Mac Baren HH bulk blends, some 1980ish Robert McConnel Scottish Cake, some variously aged(open in jars of McClelland) and some 11 year old Capstan, some 10+ year old Escudo, I don't want to be a naysayer but...- Oddball

Thanks for posting this. I have an old plain meer from Turkey Purchased in the 70s from a friend of my dad. I love it and would like another one but the ones on other sites are all heads... How Many Open Blends?
I go hybrid. I try and be a good little piper and not open new tins until I clear a jar out. That being said there are some jars that hold stuff I only smoke now and then or I tried and was meh about. I learned thought, that some airtime can help with that so revisit those from time to time...- Oddball
