Do you find burnt rim unpleasant to the eye?

Pipe damaged on the rim
Hi guys, I'm a beginner and today after one of the first smoking I find on my pipe that mark on the rim, what can I do about it? I'll be more careful with the flame, I was thinking about sanding it a little bit to take away the black rim (I tried already saliva and alcohol) but I don't know...- _celeborn_
