    Cellaring Conditions

It's pretty well tucked into the house frame. Like an extension of the living room that just happens to have a big metal door at the other end. My bedroom upstairs with windows is harder to cool.

    Cellaring Conditions

Is your garage attached to your house? I keep most of mine in the garage, but I open the door to the house when it's really hot and it pretty much equalizes to my conditioned house air

    Favorite Boswell Blend

Pipers pleasure for a sweet treat with coffee and sweet tea for a warm weather delight. I don't smoke tons of aromatics but his are some of the best

    Revor Plug

Got it. But someone over seas could buy some today though?

"Accidentally" Aged Tins - Smoke or Save?

I'd say this is generally true with the exception of certain blends containing Virginia. Mcclellands and C&D admittedly made blends that they thought would improve over time.

    Revor Plug

Hello Friends. Is this stuff still in production? I find places that say it isn't, but it still appears to be in stock at a few UK tobacconists.

    Where to Go from Aromatics?

Before Warner brothers threatened to sue them, The Country Squire used to sell a Tolkien inspired sample pack for sale on the anniversary of his birthday. They’ve changed the names but I’m sure you could call (which I recommend doing in general because they are awesome over there) and see what...

***What Are You Smoking, April 2024?***

Birthday smoke in my “new” birth year (1987) Savinelli. Breaking it in with some 1970’s symphony.

    Tinbids Experiences?

For some reason that one doesn’t interest me. I’m more excited about my tins of millenium, new millennium, and ‘83 red. I feel like there’s someone that’s had 5100 it in a mason jar for a few decades that wouldnt charge me $275 lol

Jim Inks 4th Generation Freya and Loki

Oh @anotherbob I don’t ever need an excuse to buy tobacco lol, more a reason not too like @Chris T said haha. I’m pretty much going to by most small batch releases, it’s just that reading Jim’s reviews is a nice way to know what the heck’s in it and things to maybe look out for, almost part of...

Jim Inks 4th Generation Freya and Loki

Thanks Jim. So does that mean you’ll get around to this one when the time permits, or will you deprive us of your thoughts (half kidding, but seriously I’m not used to buying something without reading your review, doesn’t feel right)

Jim Inks 4th Generation Freya and Loki

Hello @JimInks. Surprised I don’t see a review from you on this one. Be curious to know why not, I’m assuming it’s because you didn’t get sent an advance Tin? I assumed every producer in their right mind did so.

    Tinbids Experiences?

I’ve won many things on there. Sometimes I take a few days to pay, but I’ve never not done so. I recommend checking things as soon as received as their return policy only gives you a few days to do so. Checked a tin of Sullivans I paid $325 for a few months later only to find it completely...

    Curry Half and Half

I never knew this was missing from my life. Surprised it hasn’t caught on where I live; there’s a huge south Asian population.

    A Tale of Two Burleys

When did K&K take over? I had a tin from 2009/10 that I opened then but then forgot about for 10 years when I stopped smoking from 2011-2020. It was dry as hell but very delicious, definitely had a flavor on it, I guess licorice.

    A Tale of Two Burleys

@Piping Abe thanks for the helpful response. Maybe I just like my burley with some chocolate. I have an old tin of Edgeworth sliced I got from someone on the forum that I also enjoy that I think might also be in that category.

    A Tale of Two Burleys

I recently smoked some Pegasus and MacBaren London Burley within a day or so of each other, and while I could tell both were quality blends, my preference strongly leaned towards the LB. I noticed it had a chocolate topping I rather enjoyed, but would that be the main reason for my differing...

    One Light Pipe

I used to struggle with relights especially cause I smoke outside and it can be quite windy where I live. But I’ve noticed that if I do a few “ghost” lights and then really make sure I have the entire top surface lit the entire smoke goes better. I used to be happy with a 20 minute smoke and a...

What Are You Drinking ? February 2024

I think it’s celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Nothing goes better with a chalupa imo

What Are You Drinking ? February 2024

Just had Russell reserve 13 year and Jack Daniels single barrel rye that me and my dear friend purchased and enjoyed together. Thought I’d like the former more, but the latter might be a new favorite. Almost 140 proof but sweet, spicy, nice vanilla notes. Well worth $100.
