How Many Open Blends?
I'm up to 23 open blends now, and I'm kinda letting go of the idea of ever whittling it down to 3-5 core blends. Every so often, I think "hmm, I want to give such-and-such blend another try, but I don't have any open at the moment." Rigid Black Char Forcing Harder Tamping Pressure?
If you're currently just tamping straight down, try angling your tamper a little and making little scraping motions, to create a pile of ash in the center and expose fresh tobacco around the edge. That should help with the relights.- ThermionicScott

2021 Union Square in my Dr Grabow bulldog. Usually, this pipe is dedicated to English blends, but once in a while I like to run a straight Virginia through it and allow those hints of Latakia to pop up in the background. Great smoke, especially once the wind died down.- ThermionicScott
