    Stingers

My recommendation: Don't cut stringers on old pipes. Enjoy them for what they are then buy a new pipe.

    Stingers

I have a small Kaywoodies with the Stinger and just enjoy it for what it is. I don't smoke it all that often, I do think it's kinda cool though to occasionally dip into part of the pipe industry's history and try a novel concept, whether gimmicky or not.

    My Beginner Sampler Selections

Don't overlook some good Virginia/Perique blends (aka VaPers). Also explore different tobacco cuts: Penny Farthing is a Shag cut (very fine cut) that makes it easy to pack and stay lit.

    PipesandCigars.com issues?

They've done alright by me. I do order more from Smokingpipes, but still occasionally from P&C when they have something in stock.

I Finally "GET IT" After 12 Years

Semois is a Belgian Burley grown in a very specific location. The shag cut is a very fine shag, and a great smoke - try it in a small pipe. This stuff is worth a try when you can find it - I love it. Tabac De La Semois: Le Petit Robin Shag cut Tabac De La Semois: Reserve du Patron Medium cut

Do You Introduce Yourself to Other Pipe Smokers?

I suppose I would, but have not seen another pipe smoker in public. I saw an Old-Timer in a pick-up truck in Bozeman, MT heading the opposite direction as me, but didn't chase him down to talk.

What's your Go-to Process for Estate Pipes?

I've used the salt/alcohol technique and the pipe came out incredibly clean. Pack the bowl full of salt, then pour in some rubbing alcohol or clear grain spirits. Let it sit overnight or longer. The salt will turn a nice shade of brown as it pulls the carbon and staining out of the bowl. The...

    C&D From Beyond

I guess it's the "tater" in me, but I don't know what FOMO means: I"m sure there are plenty like me here that buy some of the limited releases and pass on others - depending on if the blend sounds good. I'm also sure that there are plenty of other blends very similar and just as good as these...

    C&D From Beyond

If I wasn't such a "tater", I would infer that you are calling a lot of us "gullible and of very low intelligence". It must be so cool to be smart enough to be above marketing hype.

    C&D From Beyond

    Cigar Leaf

If you can find it: C&D Sansepolcro is excellent. I also like Key Largo, and of the Warped blends

    Kaywoodie Stinger Question...

I was about to disagree, but I think I get what you are saying. The ball "seals up" at the end of the shank and the draw if from the hole by the pen, then is pulled through the holes on the ball end. You have enlightened me!
