I smoke very little(about 3 to 5 tins a year) I've got 60ish tins and jars. At my age probably enough to see me out!
They are kept in a draw in my garage. No order or system.
I have found that removing all remains of stain from base of bowl and connecting chimney using isopropyl greatly improved flavour. And it does linger as its not touching the ember.
Perhaps it would be beneficial to quote cellar size in terms of weeks/years/decades at your normal rate of consumption.
I've got about ten years worth and hope to get to 15 years then I will stop (I'm 75)
