    C&D Autumn Evening

Tonight I decided I'd do a review of Autumn Evening from Cornell and Diehl. This is one you can smell immediately upon opening the tin (well, jar in this instance). The tobacco smells like maple syrup, margarine and butterscotch. There is a faint smell of Virginias coming through in the...

Orlik Golden Sliced - Investigative Reviewing from 2011

I'm glad you saw my review, yours have been really helpful to me. Any critiques you can come up with would be welcome.

    Orlik Golden Sliced (Newbie Review)

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm gonna try to start doing reviews regularly. Capstan Gold is next on my list but if anyone has a suggestion feel free to let me know.

    Orlik Golden Sliced (Newbie Review)

I thought I'd give my thoughts on my favorite blend: Orlik Golden Sliced. I'm pretty familiar with this tobacco already, but I'm smoking a bowl of it as I write in case something new jumps out. My hope is that the reviewing process allows me to focus on my smokes better, maybe one day I'll be...

    Hi from Phoenix, Arizona

I live less than ten minutes from desert ridge...small world. Haven’t been to ye olde pipe shop yet but I plan to soon. I’ve been going to stag tobacconist over in Scottsdale.

    Inhaling

I usually inhale on the initial light and first couple relights. I smoke a pipe less often than I used to smoke cigarettes so I figure the overall amount of smoke I'm inhaling is still down...plus I enjoy it more. Some people seem to frown upon it on here. Nobody has given me shit for inhaling...

    Hi from Phoenix, Arizona

I actually lived in Mesa for a couple years for college. And I haven’t heard anything about an AZ pipe club but I’ll be sure to check it out. Thanks.

Am I Missing Something? (Aged Virginia Question)

Alright I'll take you up on that. Big fan of Orlik Golden Sliced and haven't found anything better yet. Capstan Gold is great to me, as is Dunhill Flake. Fresh LBF was decent but not amazing. I have some PS Luxury Twist Flake and Comoy's No. 4 on the way. What else would you suggest for a fairly...

Am I Missing Something? (Aged Virginia Question)

Lol...I'll have to go pick up some super value cherry to smoke while I sit thinking about how unrefined my palate is

Am I Missing Something? (Aged Virginia Question)

I fell into the trap of thinking my tastes would be the same as those who wax poetic about how much better their favorite Virginias get with age...this isn't the first time I've done something like this. I've got about half a pound of various tobaccos that I read reviews on and assumed I would...

Am I Missing Something? (Aged Virginia Question)

I guess I'm just a fresh and grassy kinda guy...can't be too disappointed. Now I know I don't have to let a blend sit around for years to get maximum enjoyment out of it...

Comoys Cask no.4 Navy Stand Fast Flake

I have a couple ounces on the way right now, looking forward to trying it

Am I Missing Something? (Aged Virginia Question)

New to the forum here. This is the question that made me decide to quit lurking on this website and finally join. I've been smoking pipes for almost a year and a half and have tried just about every category of blend. Virginias have been my favorite by far. I got some luxury bullseye flake...

    Hi from Phoenix, Arizona

Hey everyone. I've been reading this forum for the last year or so and decided it was time to join. I'm 22 years old and from Phoenix. I've been smoking a pipe for a little over a year and mostly smoke Virginias like Orlik, Dunhill and Capstan. Originally it was a replacement for cigars, which I...
