Not sure if it ever shows anyone actually smoking a pipe, but I know the pipes are in a rack on the Mantle in several scenes of Mary Poppins and in one scene "Mr Banks" selects his pipe before pouring a proper drink.- NEmery

Yang, I think it is a great find and I would assume that whoever wrote in the book was a representative of the Dunhill Family or somebody that could speak on behalf of Mr Dunhill after his death.
