    Gamers - Smoking while Gaming

I play COD and Destiny all while smoking a pipe and feel it actually helps me get more flavor. Since I am not concentrating on the pipe, I feel it am not over thinking the puff, as I do a lot when I am just sitting to have a smoke.

    Pipe collection

Just in general terms, from my own experience, depending on brands and condition, there are a lot of collectors for those metal pipes. There are a few here who are always hunting them down (member thestig is one if I remember correctly). The broken and stemless pipes, unless they are some...

Show Off Your Vintage Tins Here!

Doc is that Erinmore Flake tin copper? Wow. The prices of the tins in the pics Al posted are high but are probably there to allow a serious negotiating margin. I have been looking at tins a while and have yet to pay much for a tin. I have near fainted at the asking prices of some tins I have...

Show Off Your Vintage Tins Here!

Below are a few Picture from my Collection. I started collecting these a while back. This is what I have so far. The George Washington tin and the Prince Albert Father's Day tin are the jewels of my collection. More pictures can be found in my public Facebook album here.

Eaglerico - Pipe #2 Out Of My Shop

Thanks Ed. I didn't even think to use my calipers. That would have eased some of my tension. Half of my failures have been learning my tools more then learning how to make a pipe. The more I look at it, I think you are right. I think this occurred when I put a slight downward curve to it. It...

    Questions Re/Recent WDC Purchase (PICS)

For the P-lip style stem, it isn't uncommon. You can still get them today on an after market stem. Lots of old Willards have them as well as the older Grabow Omegas. No clue on the flakes. You sure its vulcanite and not lucite / acrylic? If it is vulcanite, maybe it was placed in a hot container...

TAD For You And Me You Best Believe It's From SPC

Nice TAD. Yes. You just ask. I usually ask for two or three. You only get one but if they don't have any samples they can give away you get nothing. So they usually pick one of what ever they have the most of and send that. And, it generally needs to be something that comes in bulk. Unless it...

Eaglerico - Pipe #2 Out Of My Shop

No. It needs much more then micro mesh. I was concerned about getting too thin there and called it quits. It wasn't until I took the pics that I could see all the scratches still there. Between all the dust in the shop and me being a little cross eyed during the finishing, I didn't see it. I...

    Old dark fired

I think any pipe will do, as long it already doesn't have a ghost. If you are really concerned I would recommend a Cob or Meer until you can figure out what works with the flavor you get.

Eaglerico - Pipe #2 Out Of My Shop

O and by far the hardest part of the whole thing for me is cutting the button. I spent as much time with that as I think I did the rest of the pipe and I am still not happy with the results but I think I was past the point of salvaging it with my current skill set.

Eaglerico - Pipe #2 Out Of My Shop

Alright guys. I have had plenty of time as of late since losing my job a week or so ago. Its been a few months since I posted my first pipe out of my shop here. Officially, this is really pipe 10 or so. Lots of failures / learning in between the two. Let me know what you guys think. How did I...

Ygrek Pipes - Sea Star a Bulldog Commission

Wow. That is beautiful. You can't even tell where the stummel ends and the stem begins. That is a work of art.

    Austrian Pipe Maker David Wagner

I am constantly cruising YouTube looking for videos on pipe making trying to pick up hints to help me. I find I get much more from watching someone do something then any amount of reading. I found this video today and I think it is by far one of the best pipe making videos I have seen to date. I...

    Chacom?

Chacom is a marvelous brand. Their offerings in the US are severely limited from their offerings in Europe. I have never gotten one with a stinger but have seen many pictures with them so I don't know what lines have them. They have recently made a push to get back into the US market with more...
