    Idaho (Boise/Nampa/Caldwell) Meetup?

Anyone in the Treasure Valley interested in getting together for a smoke the weekend of the 30th? I'm thinking just going to a park, maybe Lakeview in Nampa. Let me know, and we'll figure out a time!

    Sunday's Smoke (3/4/24)

I bet you drove right by the turnoff for this, then (if you went through Winnemucca). For sure worth making another trip up here! I couldn't tell you... but it sure looks like one. Lot's of canyons similar to this in the area. Ah, I'm jealous! I love it up there around Moscow. The Palouse is...

    Sunday's Smoke (3/4/24)

Had a great smoke out in the Owyhees this past Sunday, at a spot called Jump Creek. It started snowing a little bit just as I pulled up around 8 in the morning. There were a couple of cars parked, but the folks who were hiking came back and left shortly after I arrived, so I had the entire area...

How Long does a Smoke Last?

A standard size bowl usually lasts about 40 minutes for me. Several tamps and relights throughout.

    Country Squire service

I'm sorry about your order, but I'm glad (and not at all surprised) that they were so helpful! Truly one of the few businesses I go out of my way to support.

    Some of My Favorite Things

Oh man, don't remind me! The Rhodias look nice and simple. Never heard of that brand before. I used to have a leather-bound journal with hand-made paper. It was cool for the novelty, but the paper was way too thick to be practical. I went a little too "Lewis and Clark" with it, I think.

    Some of My Favorite Things

Great penmanship! I've been wanting to get back into journaling. What is your notebook of choice, there?

    Puffing like Dirty Harry

There's definitely a happy medium to be had; not too slow and not too fast. Too slow, and I'm constantly relighting. Too fast, and the tobacco tastes like ashy garbage before I'm even 1/4 done with the bowl. I often go by temperature of the bowl. If it feels hot, I stop for a minute so it can...

Must Watch Movie for Hard SF Lovers

Jake Jellyballs and the guy from Mint Mobile. Can't go wrong. I usually can't do horror movies, but space horror I find strangely intriguing. I'll give this one a watch. Thanks for the suggestion! Not really a horror, per-se, but we just watched Gravity the other day. Another interesting space...

    New Ardor Meteora

Incredible pipe. It would be cool to see a video of the process for achieving that finish.

Meaning of "Enjoying an Adult Beverage"

That's what I'm talking about. To me, there's nothing better than a neat bourbon or Scotch. I never could drink to get drunk, even in party days of yore. I'd go from the slightest buzz to sick as a dog with no happy in-between. So now as an adult, I only ever drink for the enjoyment of the...
