Mystery Pipes - Can You Identify these Pipes?

The only thing stamped on the amber stem pipe is the matching logo seen on the case, and the silver hallmarks on the silver band. The carved head has nothing except the silver hallmarks.

Mystery Pipes - Can You Identify these Pipes?

Very interesting jguss! I reside, and did buy this at an antique barn in Canada. I will do more research into this Con Jones and see if I can find any matches on the emblem / monogram.... and or the pipe work itself. It’s interesting that there is not a country stamped on the pipe itself, or the...

Mystery Pipes - Can You Identify these Pipes?

I picked up a couple pipes while antiquing. I'm not sure how to identify them. One has a nice big monogram type emblem in the case and stamped in the briar, with a crown and the letters C N O (not sure of order). The silver band has three hallmarks 1) "L", 2) a lion, and 3) a bear or wildcat's...

    Unknown Pipes

HELP! I found this pipe recently. Trying to identify it. Does anyone know? Look at the big emblem in the case. The case says Genuine Amber. There's a crown and the emblem in the case matches the stamping on the pipe.... a crown with "C N O" (not sure of order of letters in the monogram) There...

    Searching for Sweet

I’m curious... What are your favourite SWEET pipe tobaccos? I’m looking for flavour profiles like jam, or grape jelly, or baked goods like muffins, cookies, or ban ana-bread. Maybe flavours like plum, raisin, or fig would also describe what type of sweet I’m looking for. Smooth like Vanilla, or...

I have a forest green acrylic 8deco one similar, without the spoon. I like these ones too! And they stand on their own. Love the ventilated base.

I’d love to see! They don’t need to be “fancy” - just hand made, or unique.

No, I use it often! It doesn’t ever seemed phased in the slightest to my surprise. I expected a slight type of wear but it wipes off with my thumb so easily and looks brand new each time.

We all love hand crafted pipes, yes. But let’s take a look at our pipe TAMPERS! I’ll start with mine. Hand made by Julius Vesz in Toronto Canada. One is Walrus tusk and vulcanite, the other is horn and red coral.

LET'S PLAY: Pipes Around the World

The author of post #37 said Blatter and Blatter is the last remaining pipe maker in Canada, but I was asking him what about Julius Vesz. He’s 87 years old and has Been making pipes in Canada Since 1959. I had the good fortune of meeting him and spending time in his Toronto shop just a week ago...

Thanks for posting this! I recently just visited the one and only Mr. Julius Vesz and bought a nice Prince Shape pipe from him. It was such a neat experience to say the least.

“the last pipe maker still in Canada with roots that go as far back as Brigham.“ neat! I’d never heard of Blatter & Blatter until now. But what about Julius Vesz in Toronto? in response to #37
