Peter Stokkebye Optimum. Smells good enough to eat indeed.

The Decline of Prince Albert and Carter Hall

A lot of crazy history went down at Chatham Manor in Fredericksberg, Virginia. First as the site of a famous slave rebellion where slaves overtook, chained, and whipped their slavemaster. Then as a Union Army hospital during the Civil War where surgeons operated on thousands of wounded soldiers...

How is D&R Ryback compared to Mac Baren Old Dark Fired?

If you aren't already aware - ODF ready rubbed in bulk is cheaper than flakes in the tin.

Attack Of The (Pipe) Clones Part 2

I haven't stopped daydreaming about the Todd Bannard Wutty. I hope he's still carving when the day finally comes that I can afford to commission one.

    Worst Pipe Tragedy

I lost a Savinelli Tortuga 673 in the backyard once. Found it the next weekend after running it over with my lawn mower.

    Sutliff Crème Brûlée

Sutliff Vanilla Custard is as goopy as I can go, and that's only when mixed 50/50 with Nightcap.

    Tobacco recommendations

I bet you'd like Cult Blood Red Moon Sutliff Vanilla Custard too if you like Molto Dolce Sutliff 504C Aromatic English for smokey sweet flavor

    Ennerdale Flake?

#7 Broken Flake is no slouch either. I'd say it's definitely a must try for fans of Ennerdale. The one i've tried repeatedly and never been able to understand is Grasmere. That shit is 100% rose geranium. We have a family friend with a bush of it growing in their yard and I want to hurl every...

    Ennerdale Flake?

My dear Aunt Ennerdale ... she's the one who wears too much lipstick and gives all the kids big wet sloppy kisses. She's an eccentric lady with outdated sensibilities, an exclusively hot pink wardrobe, an encyclopedic knowledge of erotic literature, and a penchant for flavored liquors. She talks...

    Do You Rotate your Pipes?

I smoke whatever pipe I want whenever I feel like it with no regard for rest time or rotation. I do keep them separated into 4 categories however. Lakeland, latakia, aromatic, and VA/VAPer/Burley.

    My First Radice

Holy crap. That thing is serious. If it turns out to suck as a pipe it will definitely make a great doorstop. I'm kidding ... I have a humongous Ardor that is always a pleasure to smoke. I hope she smokes as good as she looks!

I've Got Friends in Low Places

I hate shirts with buttons. Ben Davis pants are the only pants I know how to wear. The Missouri Meerchaum Legend is one of my favorite pipes.

    ODF

I'm glad they kept the golden ticket. I always liked that part of the presentation in the square tins.

    ODF

There used to be a video on YouTube of Per George Jensen at the Mac Baren factory showing off bales of leaf harvested in 1974 and 1983 that went into Old Dark Fired. I'd be curious to know when they ran out of that old stock leaf, what they replaced it with, and how it changed the flavor of the...
